Gungho City Condo's and New Developments

Indianapolis Development

Downtown Indianapolis offers access to over 200 shops, 250 restaurants and bars, 16 museums and historic sites, 17 performing arts and theatres, more than 20 galleries, more than 20 memorials and parks, eight major sports venues and numerous other attractions. If you are looking for a new condo or residence there are many new developments to choose from. Thirty-three new projects are in the works producing 959 new units for sale planned to be available, by or before the end of 2009. If you are looking to rent instead, five projects producing 483 units will be available, by or before the end of 2008.

Since the Indiana Business College moved out in late 2002, 802 N. Meridian St. has stood empty. Now, thanks to the efforts of Hearthview Residential, Historic Landmarks of Indiana, and the City of Indianapolis the old Meridian Street Methodist Episcopal Church building has a chance to be saved with the proposed Meridian Arch Condominiums. Floor plans range from 1,100 to 2,000 square feet and prices ranging from $200,000 to $500,000. A total of 69 condos in two buildings; these upscale condos will go fast. Hearthview residential has stated the windows on the church will be reopened and part of the church will remain for historical appeal.

Britton Buildings Designs is developing a 16-unit condominium project called Renaissance Flats. Completion is scheduled for the end of 2007. It is set to be located just to the north of the 60-unit condo development, Renaissance Tower, which was built by the company last year. Unit prices will range from $159,000 to $200,000 for about 900 square feet of space. Some units will offer views of downtown and all units will include deck space. The development plans to keep parking below the building.

If you need housing now, the former Renaissance Tower Historic Inn located at 230 E. 9th St. has been converted into condominiums. Starting at $159,000 these units will include granite countertops, stainless appliances and laminate hardwood floors. Parking and fitness center available on-site. Studio and one bedroom condos are available from 500 to 900 sq ft.

These are just a few of the developing projects Indianapolis has to offer. To see more, visit http://www.indydt.com.
